We make composite decks and fences for Seattle and King County homes, from an office in Interbay. Everything we build starts with one question: what will the rain do to it?
Decks first, fences alongside.
Our main work is composite decking: planning, framing and building decks that stay comfortable and good-looking with little upkeep. We also build cedar and pressure-treated decks, repair and resurface older ones, and put up wood and metal fences and gates. Keeping the list short lets us be good at each part of it.

Clear written estimates
Scope, materials and options set out in writing, in language that doesn’t need a contractor to translate it.
Tidy sites
Materials stacked neatly, offcuts cleared, and your yard left as we found it, apart from the new deck or fence.
Straight answers
If a repair will do, we say so. If wood suits you better than composite, we say that too.
A choice made for this climate.
We didn’t choose to lead with composite because it’s fashionable. We lead with it because, in a place where outdoor wood spends half the year damp, a surface that doesn’t absorb water solves more problems than any stain can. Homeowners here want to use their decks in April and October, not spend those months refinishing them.
That said, we’re not dogmatic. Cedar is beautiful and belongs in the Northwest, and there are yards and budgets where it’s the better answer. The point is to match the material to the site and the person, then build the part you can’t see as carefully as the part you can.

What we believe about building here
A deck in the Pacific Northwest has to survive long stretches of rain, cool shade and very little drying time, then handle a few weeks of strong summer sun. We think that calls for rot-resistant surfaces, frames protected from water, generous drainage and air beneath. It isn’t glamorous, but it’s what makes a deck last.
